Creation Baumannの新作生地を使ったインスタレーション。
サンプルを借りて、切ったり縫ったりしながら生地を組み合わせてテストを重ねていると、色鮮やかな生地に光が反射して、もう1枚のレースを染めること、影を落として浮かび上がるパターンが2重になることが面白く感じられた。そこにある現象とリンクしているテキスタイルの表情の一つひとつを切り取るファインダーを、ひし形に抜いた遮光生地で作り、万華鏡をのぞくような体験に繋げようと試みた。
An installation using Creation Baumann's new fabrics.
As I borrowed samples and tested them by combining fabrics while cutting and sewing, I found it interesting how the light reflected off the brightly colored fabric and dyed another piece of lace, or how it cast shadows and doubled the pattern that emerged. The fascination with textiles that sway in the wind and make a soft sound, or change their expression softly, is one with the phenomenon that exists there. I tried to make a viewfinder to cut out each of these phenomena using a diamond-shaped piece of shading fabric.
